Trainernyc Bio

In 1994, Trainernyc was the first fitness trainer online where he began answering fitness questions for the general public in the forums of AOL, Compuserve, Prodigy and eWorld. He developed his web presence www.trainernyc.com in January '95 and has been helping the online public with their fitness questions and concerns since. He is an expert in general fitness, inline skating, tennis and track-and-field. He has an interest in all facets of sports and has coached or participated competitively in many of them.

Trainernyc was ranked as one of the top three trainers in New York City by the New York Post, and has been featured in Personal Trainer Magazine, Speed Skating Times, NY Metro Magazine. He has worked with some of NYC's finest fitness clubs, including: , The Vertical Club, The New York Health and Racquet Club, Body Strength, Body Design by Gilda, and Classic Bodies. He has developed fitness programs for many major corporations, including: Russell Reynolds & Associates and Global America, Inc. and has been the personal trainer and tennis coach to some of the top executives of corporate America. He was Dr. Atkins' personal fitness trainer for over three years and was the fitness trainer for the original Atkins Cruise. He has a NYC based private clientele.

His current sporting interest is in-line skating where he placed in the top 10 at the NYRSA Inline Skating National Championship in Central Park. He teaches private lessons and holds clinics primarily in NYC.

Trainernyc began his career in athletics in track-and-field. He rose to world-class status at Fort Hays State University in Kansas. He participated with the United States Track Team competing in the Friendship Games in Taiwan. He was also a member of the nationally competitive FHSU Tennis Team.

Pursuing a career in tennis, he moved east, working with summer camps in the Poconos working on their tennis programs and developing the other teaching professionals. He was the tennis professional at Grossinger Hotel in NY, the Eve Ellis School of Tennis in Central Park in NYC and New York Health and Racquet Club. He assisted the coaching staff at the United States Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, CO where he worked on stroke production and technique. He also designed the fitness program for the team.

During a season on the professional tennis circuit in the Caribbean, he was offered the tennis pro position at Glitter Bay and The Royal Pavilion Hotels in Barbados.
